SNOW! {Andrea Burns Washington DC Photographer}

February 8, 2010

This past Friday and Saturday we got completely snowed in… in what we affectionately call the “Snowpocolypse.”  This was our 2nd blizzard this winter season, both making it into the top 5 storms of Washington DC’s recorded history.   We lost power and heat Friday night for 4 hours, but thankfully it kicked back on right before we went to bed.  This was what we woke up to….

It reads 26 inches here… but we still had 8 hours left of “storm”  so we know we got about 30 inches.

We’ve literally been digging out all weekend.  And now the weather man is telling me ANOTHER foot is coming tomorrow.   I guess I’ll see ya’ll sometime this Spring….

Malisa: Wow! that is some snow! I'm glad your power kicked back on!!!

Gen: I bet the kids are loving it! We got about a foot (which normally is a good amount)...I am amazed by the amount of snow you've all had this winter. Crazy! Nate is going to be beach ready after all the shoveling he's had to do ;)

Lina: I so do not envy you, but i am sure kids are having a blast!

Kristin Rachelle: Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
