Can you believe that my doll baby is already two months old?  I surely cannot.  She is getting chunkier and longer, and sweeter as she is giving us gummy smiles and coos to melt our hearts.  The boys are still enamored with her, giving kisses and head pats.  Mama is still the closest to Honey-Girl’s heart, and I savor every time she snuffles into my neck, and breathes her milk-breath.

This week the Burns clan will be away.  We are going to visit our family in Ohio… its time for the annual family-reunion 4th of July Picnic.  And its time for family to meet Audrey for the first time… I’m looking forward to showing her off.  Wouldn’t you?

This family happened to come over last night for good food and good times.  Nate grilled us some fabulous hamburgers, I made my famous baked beans, and Mama A above brought the best mexican salad I have ever tasted.  I have to tell you… mister & mrs A above have some of the biggest and most generous hearts.  They are just so willing to go out of their way for you.

I love our friendship.

On a whim last Thursday I asked my husbad Nate just what he had planned over the weekend.  He said, “nothing.”

And thus we spent the entirety of his day off on Friday and Saturday working in the besement.  We moved some furniture, we did some painting, he installed new electrical sockets… all so that I can have a more professional and dedicated permanent studio space!  No more shooting in front of his BowFlex!  I am really thrilled about this.  We are talking studio samples, mounted paper, and organized props.  It won’t be finished for a couple more weeks, but when it is, I’ll be sure to post the final images and a booking incentive.

Don’t you just want to eat her up?!?!? And can I brag for a half second?

Audrey Elizabeth is sleeping through the night. No lie! For the last week and a half or so, she sleeps solidly from 11pm till 5:30 am. She eats, and then goes right back to sleep. We LOVE it!

My middle child. 27 months old today…..

He is very serious, hard to crack a smile, let alone actually capture it on film (uh… disc).

With the promise of candy, with lots of “Perry the Platypus” impersonations.. with lots of “I’m gonna get you’s!” and “Ickle me, pickle me, tickle me, too’s”….  Cracking and popping bubble gum….

I finally got his 2 yr portraits done, just a couple months late.

(sigh) He’s going to be such a heartbreaker for the ladies. I am *this close* to cutting that hair for a big boy look… but looking at these is making me think twice….

Isn’t Miss M adorable? Doesn’t she look just like a Bitty Baby Doll? I certainly think so. Her eyes are so vivid and sparkly… watch out boys!
