Meet Alex. This little guy was 364 days old when I got to shoot him and his family. Alex is well loved… his parents were always smooching him. Later some extended family came for an extended family portrait, and their joy in seeing him was just tangible.  He was so smilie and so happy-go-lucky.   Happy Birthday Alex!  Thank you for a fun evening L family!

Hello, my name is Andrea and I love color.

There I said it. I’m obsessed with color. I like color and lots of it.

So I decided to try something new.  So I present to you:  A session preview done entirely in black and whites.

Crazy, I know.

As a side note, the above family is the Blair family, of Blair Blanks Photography based in Baltimore.  She had just had her third child and wanted some help capturing all three of her kids together, and then of herself and her new daughter.  It was such an honor to help her, and so much fun!

I am just honored to introduce you to sweet little Sydney.  She is actually the brand-new daughter of one of my oldest friends. Sydney was waited for, for a long time.  But she is here now, and just worth every moment waited.  This little angel was like putty in my hands that morning… I’ve never been able to do a newborn shoot in an hour!

Isn’t her strawberry blonde hair just amazing!  Stephanie & Jerry, congrats, your angel is just one of the most delightful.

You know, when it comes to your children, you really think they are just the most beautiful in the world. So imagine to my delight when clothing companies want my Audrey to start modeling their clothes… LOVE it!  I’m currently working with two companies, Missie Moosie and Dollcake.  The below photo is a sneak peek for the Missie Moosie fall line.  Audrey, my little muse, is now quite mobile and is harder to capture.  But I love this image of her.  Her smile just warms my soul.

I love chubby babies.  I love the little fat rolls and the absence of wrists and ankles.  I adore the squished faces, and their smell…. oh their smell!  This is why I have the greatest job in the world.  Because I get to snuggle handsome little chubs like Oliver….

Of course he’s so good looking!  His parents are beautiful too!

This poor family was rescheduled 4 times because of bad weather!  I finally got over there a couple weekends ago, under the threat of storms *again* and got to work. This is my 2nd time shooting them, the first time HERE.  The W family lives on the most amazing piece of wooded property.  It’s so beautiful and peaceful.  Four children normally is tough, but honestly, all of these kids were a delight this day!  I couldn’t have asked for a better shoot.   I’m having a really hard time just paring it down to show you my faves….

My family spent Memorial Day with Grampa & Gramma in Ohio. They have a quaint log cabin, in the woods, away from any noise and hustle and bustle. We relaxed, we picnicked, we antiqued. It was a good rest! Memorial Day was a big indoors picnic, as it decided to thunderstorm in the middle of our cookout, but it was still tasty and a good visit with family. All the children got wild and dirty playing in the mud… even miss Audrey, which leads to my week 22 submission…. Puffy Pants Princess~

Meet sweet baby Maya, who is about to celebrate her very first birthday~  This beauty was a shy one, that I had to pull out all of my tricks to get her sweet smiles.  But they were worth every sweat drop… look at her smiles…. just darling!

I write this post with a lump in my throat and blinking back tears. This last year went by entirely too fast.  Exactly a year ago today, at 4:49 pm, I was staring in to this precious face….

I knew I had a pretty baby.  This whole year I have been stopped out in public MANY times over by strangers commenting on her hair, her eyes, her mouth, anything…. What I am super-blessed with, is how amazing Audrey is.  She really, truly is such a happy, jolly, and cuddly baby.  She tries to share her thumb with me.  She doubles over laughing at her brothers.  She loves to sit in my lap and snuggle in.  And. I. Can’t. Get. Enough.

This first photo is my entry for the 52 week project.  The next 2 were taken within the last couple weeks.

This last photo is my favorite.  I can’t get enough of it.  It’s the one going huge on the wall next to her brother’s first birthday portraits.
