Two posts ago I mentioned that we had hired Lisa of Lisa Lucky Photography to shoot our own family session.  My very own sneak peek is now up on Her Blog HERE.

I couldn’t be more happy!  My breath caught on quite a few images, because she really did capture intimate expressions… ones I see everyday that others outside my family don’t.  I wanted a great family portrait, and I wanted to see Lisa’s fine art spin and her creativity with my kids…. and she totally rocked it, and surpassed all of my expectations.  I forsee some rather large prints and canvases going up on my walls very soon.

I met these two young men a couple weekends ago, in the scenic and lovely old towne Alexandria. I love shooting there for all of it’s lovely textures and interesting architecture. These little men were two times the handsome, at times little hams and old souls.  It was a gorgeous afternoon, and I had a great time with you both!

This past weekend, I had the utmost privilege of Lisa Lucky Photography to shoot our family photos.  I cannot wait to see Lisa’s magic!  It was quite an adventure and a haul to get out to see her, but I’m so glad I did.  It was so neat to be on “the other side” of the lens.  We spent the rest of the weekend recuperating… and then I remembered.  I hadn’t done my weekly photo.  I have to tell you,  I almost didn’t do it.  I have a cheesy iphone photo I thought about sharing.  But then I remembered the balloon Audrey got at church, and then I saw how gorgeous the light was to the side of our home.

I’m so glad I went out and took this.  She takes my breath away!

I’ve known and loved Melanie for three years now. You may remember meeting her HERE.  She’s a stunning girl, with a beautiful soul, and she’s a ranked swimmer.  She always has a joyous and curious spirit, and is not afraid to share her heart with you.  Melanie has been a mentee, a babysitter, and yes, even a friend who’s lent an ear.  With her, her soul is ageless and her generosity knows no end.  Love you my OAR sistah!
