Kirtan was one of my last models that I had the pleasure to shoot and work with. First off, he’s rather dapper, and his English accent is charming.  I realized I hadn’t shown off my male model work, and Kirtan was one of my favorites.  Enjoy!

This past week, I was one of the crazies in the apple line waiting for the new iPhone 4.  I waited a loooong time to join the smartphone revolution.  I waited for 3 hours, and that WAS the reserved phone line.  Now that I have it, how did I live without it?  The above photo is a nice iPhone 4 photo, a 5 mp beauty, that has a flash (though not used above).  Not bad!  I used the ShakeIt photo ap, which gives it the nice polaroid frame and a vintage processing… plus shaking your phone like a polaroid to “develop” the photo is a BONUS!

Over the last year I have become really friendly with a photographer and her “family on furlough.” Gini and her family relocated to the area, just for this past year, for her husband to complete his Masters Degree. Sadly, their year is finished, and they are moving back to Mississippi in just a couple weeks. Gini had asked me to take her family photos forever ago… and weather or rumpus-like boy behavior prohibited, and we’ve had to reschedule a few times. We FINALLY got to take some photos last Thursday evening.

One funny… not one, but TWO separate people at two separate locations saw me leaning over to take a photo of the posed family, when they asked if I wanted THEM to take the photo, so I could join them.

Next time I’ll be sure to wear my official Photographer’s Beret. ;)

I am really, really proud that there is not a headswap at all in photos 1 & 3.  I’ll let you try to find the one or two in photo 2.  ;)

Now, if you happen to be in Mississippi and need some photos taken… be sure to check out Gini Mars Photography.

This poor family was rescheduled 4 times because of bad weather!  I finally got over there a couple weekends ago, under the threat of storms *again* and got to work. This is my 2nd time shooting them, the first time HERE.  The W family lives on the most amazing piece of wooded property.  It’s so beautiful and peaceful.  Four children normally is tough, but honestly, all of these kids were a delight this day!  I couldn’t have asked for a better shoot.   I’m having a really hard time just paring it down to show you my faves….

We spent Father’s Day weekend, camping in the woods at Rocky Gap State Park.    We swam in the lake, we cooked over the fire, we ate s’mores, we rode bikes, we hiked, Nate and I held hands in front of the fire.  We were unplugged and away from all things pressing.  I read a whole book in 2 days.  Ironically called… Catching Fire, lol.    We all had a blast, and can’t wait to get back next Father’s Day.   My next photo is my entry for the 52 Week Project… I feel like you can almost hear Any Griffith whistling….

Have you ever met someone that reminded you of yourself?  A little more depressingly… a better you?  That is kind of how I felt when I met Ariella.   A teen who reminded me of myself as a teen… those lips and that hair.  Except, she is much prettier than I ever was, and has the total confidence to work it…  These shots are for her modeling portfolio.

Meet Miss A, who laughs like sunshine, and sparkles like the stars!  She was so fun and cute to work with.  Not to mention, super easy!  Enough words from me, you check her out for yourself!

The ice cream truck was a happy fluke!  Just so happened to be there, right place, right time!

Just yesterday while Nate was cleaning up and clearing out the backyard, my boys found a box turtle….

This first one is Mr. Turtle by himself~

And this second one has BONUS wildlife of little gnats by his eyes… lol!

May 15, 2010 was a GORGEOUS day to get married. A bright and warm sun, and a quaint country backyard filled with close family and friends. This was a truly intimate affair, but the highlight that day was watching Susan & Todd get married. Susan & Todd are from Colorado, but chose to get married in his parent’s backyard. They are foodies, and the foods at this wedding were AMAZING. In fact, during our consultation, Susan told me to forget shooting her, as long as I got photos of the food! LOL, I did both, as she was a stunning bride!

My family spent Memorial Day with Grampa & Gramma in Ohio. They have a quaint log cabin, in the woods, away from any noise and hustle and bustle. We relaxed, we picnicked, we antiqued. It was a good rest! Memorial Day was a big indoors picnic, as it decided to thunderstorm in the middle of our cookout, but it was still tasty and a good visit with family. All the children got wild and dirty playing in the mud… even miss Audrey, which leads to my week 22 submission…. Puffy Pants Princess~

I just can’t decide which version I like best!  How about you, which is your favorite?
